Flax Sesame Seeds Laddu Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Flax seeds
- 1/4 cup of white or black sesame seeds
- 3/4 cup of pitted dates
- 3/4 cup of almonds and raisins
- 1 cup of organic jaggery powder
- 3 tablespoons of ghee or clarified butter
- 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder
Procedure
1. Roasting
Begin by heating a pan and dry roasting flax seeds over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once they start crackling and release an aroma, transfer them to a plate. Then, dry roast the sesame seeds for 2-3 minutes and transfer them to a plate. Let them cool.
Afterward, heat 1 tablespoon of desi ghee in the pan and roast the almonds and raisins before transferring them to a separate plate.
2. Grinding
Using a blender, grind the roasted flax seeds and sesame seeds until finely ground. Add deseeded dates and blend everything.
3. Preparing the mixture
Pour 2 tablespoons of water into a pan, then add jaggery chunks and simmer on low heat until the jaggery dissolves. Switch off the stove and add the jaggery to the ground mixture. Utilize a spoon to thoroughly blend all the ingredients.
Thoroughly mix the cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and ghee with all the other ingredients in a bowl.
4. Binding Laddus
Once the mixture has cooled down a bit, use some ghee to grease your hands, then take a portion the size of a lemon and roll it into a round laddu.
5. Storage
Keep it in a cool, dry location. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Store them in a sealed container.
